Other reviews:...

It represents a new, modern fruit-forward style. The wine is light-to-medium-bodied, bright and smooth, with notes of cherry and plum. Terrific for pizza, pasta or parties. It's a steal !!!To call this Italian wine filled with red berry fruit a steal is an understatement. Generally, wines from small, family-owned vineyards that produce this kind of quality come at triple the price. Do a blind tasting and fool even the most experienced palate. The warm ripe plum nose is geltly earthy with "Italian" written all over it. On the palate, it is medium-light-bodied, harmonious and dry without being austere. The rounded plum flavours are balanced by a touch of acidity and sandalwood. It's reminiscent of the best carafe wines I used to swill with abandon in Italy's suprior taratorias. I held a mini blind tasting with my homemade tomato-sauced veal meatballs. It was the perfect molto bene match.A dynamite value red...one of my Top Ten Values of 2002. The latest vintage has just hit the shelves, and if anything, it's got even more gutsy appeal. Big minty mahogany, leather and sour cherry aromas lead into mellow cedar accented black cherry flavours.
